CFE Program Benefits

College For Everyone students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

To qualify for financial assistance under the College for Everyone program, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1.       Complete the North Carolina college/university prep or college tech prep course of study and graduate from Greene Central High School with a diploma.

2.       Either (A) be a legal resident of North Carolina (born in NC) or (B) have resided in North Carolina for at least three years prior to the date of graduation and file an affidavit upon graduation stating that he or she will apply for permanent residency status as soon as he or she meets the applicable eligibility requirements,

3.       All students (regardless of eligibility) must complete a FAFSA form by March 15th of your senior year;

4.       During high school or in college while participating in the CFE program refrain from using illegal drugs or alcohol, committing a crime, or engaging in any conduct leading to criminal charges, expulsion or a mandatory suspension of 300 days or more.

5.       Apply for admission to a participating North Carolina public university or community college and, if accepted, enroll full time beginning with the fall 2008 semester.

6.       Agree to spend an average of at least 10 hours per week (160 hours per semester) during their first year in college in a job, work-study, or doing community service.
